Unified Pixel Inspector ("the Extension") collects and uses data strictly for the purpose of helping you debug and validate tracking pixel implementations. We do not sell your data or transmit your browsing activity to third parties.

Data Collection & Usage

The Extension processes data locally within your browser. Below is a detailed explanation of the permissions required and how they are used:

activeTab

Purpose: To scan the current page for installed tracking scripts (Meta Pixel, Google Tags, TikTok Pixel, Zalo Pixel).

Data Usage: The Extension reads the HTML content of the active tab only when you interact with the extension or when the page loads to identify tracking codes.

webRequest

Purpose: To detect network requests sent to ad platforms (e.g., requests to `facebook.com/tr`, `google-analytics.com`, `tiktok.com`).

Data Usage: We inspect network request URLs to validate that tracking events are firing correctly and capturing the expected parameters. This analysis happens entirely on your device.

identity

Purpose: To authenticate with the Google Tag Manager (GTM) API via OAuth2.

Data Usage: This permission is required to obtain an access token on your behalf to list your existing GTM Accounts, Containers, and Workspaces. This enables you to easily select and configure the container you wish to inspect directly within the extension's settings. We only access your email address and container list for this functionality. This data remains local to your browser and is never shared with third parties.

storage

Purpose: To save your user preferences (e.g., theme, selected platforms to scan).

Data Usage: Stored locally in your browser's extension storage.

Data Security

We do not transmit your data to any external servers. All pixel detection and validation logic runs locally in your browser.

Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
